Is small stainless steel tubing magnetic? That’s a question I get asked a lot as a small stainless steel tubing supplier. You’d think it’d be a straightforward answer, but it’s actually a bit more complicated than you might think. Small Stainless Steel Tubing<\/a><\/p>\n

These impurities can change the crystal structure and potentially make the tubing more magnetic than it should be.<\/p>\n

So, how can you tell if your small stainless steel tubing is magnetic? The easiest way is to use a simple magnet. Just hold the magnet up to the tubing and see if it sticks. If it does, then the tubing is magnetic. But keep in mind that this is a very basic test, and it won’t tell you the exact type of stainless steel or all about its properties.<\/p>\n
